We recently sent our youngest off to college and even though it was supposed to be a time to start enjoying more trips etc without children, COVID-19 has canceled several trip plans for 2020. We decided last minute to book some time at the Sanderling Resort in Duck, OBX for some relaxing downtime and a change of scenery.
The Sanderling was perfect in late September since it’s the beginning of the off season. We enjoyed plenty of sunshine, wide open beach walks and easy to find lounge chairs at the pool. The weather is still warm but cooler nights allow for firepits and s’mores. The Sand Bar is the perfect lunch break from the beach or pool. Take a drive up to Corolla to see lighthouses and wild horses. What could be a better escape.
